The NCAA Women’s Basketball Selection Committee certainly didn’t do the Jacksonville Dolphins any favors.
First, they made the Dolphins and a roomful of supporters wait until the second half of the selection show Monday night before their name appeared on the screen.
And when the announcement was made, the Dolphins learned that they would be going against No. 1 seed South Carolina, winners of last week’s SEC Tournament held in Jacksonville and owners of a 31-1 record this season. The Gamecocks’ only loss was to the No. 1 overall seed, unbeaten Connecticut.
