DES MOINES, IOWA | Jacksonville University’s bid for an undefeated season came crashing down in the fourth quarter on Saturday as Drake scored 14 unanswered points in a 28-24 victory over the Dolphins.
Quarterback Andy Rice threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Andrew Yarwood with 3:14 to play as Drake rallied from a 24-14 deficit.
The Dolphins (6-1, 3-1 Pioneer League) were forced to punt on their next possession and the Bulldogs (4-4, 3-2) ran for a first down and then ran out the clock.
The Dolphins remain winless (0-7) at Drake Stadium.
